# Semi-Fungible

(of a product or commodity) that is equally interchangeable within the same [Edition](/fundamentals/introduction/terminologies/edition.md), but not mutually interchangeable within or outside of a [Collection](/fundamentals/introduction/terminologies/collection.md).\
\
Example:\
\
In Spells of Genesis Counterparty [Curated CryptoAssets](/fundamentals/introduction/terminologies/collection/curated-cryptoassets.md), 1 FDCARD ([CryptoAsset](/fundamentals/introduction/terminologies/cryptoobject/cryptoasset.md)) with supply of 300 is an equal value of or mutually interchangeable to another 1 FDCARD. \
\
But it is not an equal value to [CryptoAsset](/fundamentals/introduction/terminologies/cryptoobject/cryptoasset.md)within the same [Curated CryptoAssets](/fundamentals/introduction/terminologies/collection/curated-cryptoassets.md)of Spells of Genesis. 1 FDCARD is not mutually interchangeable to 1 SJCXCARD (another Spells of Genesis [CryptoAsset](/fundamentals/introduction/terminologies/cryptoobject/cryptoasset.md)), nor an equal value of or mutually interchangeable to any [CryptoAsset](/fundamentals/introduction/terminologies/cryptoobject/cryptoasset.md)in different [Curated CryptoAssets](/fundamentals/introduction/terminologies/collection/curated-cryptoassets.md) within Counterparty Layer Protocol.\

Semi-fungible [CryptoAsset](/fundamentals/introduction/terminologies/cryptoobject/cryptoasset.md) has a mix of fungibility ([Fungible](/fundamentals/introduction/terminologies/cryptoobject/cryptoobject-types/fungible.md)) and non-fungibility ([Non-Fungible](/fundamentals/introduction/terminologies/cryptoobject/cryptoobject-types/non-fungible.md)) determined by its [Primary CryptoAsset](/fundamentals/introduction/terminologies/cryptoobject/cryptoasset/primary-cryptoasset.md) or [Namespace](/fundamentals/introduction/terminologies/namespace.md) and [Secondary CryptoAsset](/fundamentals/introduction/terminologies/cryptoobject/cryptoasset/secondary-cryptoasset.md).\

Case:\
\
FDCARD has non-fungible [Primary CryptoAsset](/fundamentals/introduction/terminologies/cryptoobject/cryptoasset/primary-cryptoasset.md) or [Namespace](/fundamentals/introduction/terminologies/namespace.md)that can't be copied by another [CryptoAsset](/fundamentals/introduction/terminologies/cryptoobject/cryptoasset.md) within Counterparty Layer Protocol. However FDCARD as [CryptoAsset](/fundamentals/introduction/terminologies/cryptoobject/cryptoasset.md)has fungible trait, such as its [Edition](/fundamentals/introduction/terminologies/edition.md)-ed supply.\
